Welcome to TypingBIRDS! These terms are a plain-language agreement between you and TypingBIRDS ("we", "us") covering your use of this website and its features. By using TypingBIRDS you agree to these terms.

Using TypingBIRDS

  • TypingBIRDS is a typing practice and typing-class tool for personal and classroom use, with a free plan and optional paid School plans for larger schools — see "Billing and paid plans" below.
  • You can use most features as a guest; some features (like creating classes) require signing in with Google.
  • You're responsible for activity that happens under your account. Keep your Google account secure.
  • If you're a teacher using classes, make sure you have any permission your school requires before adding students.

Acceptable use

  • Don't use offensive or impersonating names on leaderboards or in classes.
  • Don't attempt to cheat leaderboards, disrupt the service, probe its security, or access other people's data.
  • Don't use TypingBIRDS for anything unlawful.

We may remove content (e.g. leaderboard entries or class data) or restrict accounts that break these rules.

Your content

Text you paste into practice modes stays in your browser. Class names, student display names, and typing stats you submit are stored so the classes and leaderboard features can work — see the Privacy Policy for details. You keep ownership of your content; you give us permission to store and display it only as needed to run these features.

Billing and paid plans

  • Student practice, races, Word Rain, lesson progress, and certificates are free for every student, on every plan.
  • A school's free plan covers up to the class, teacher, and student limits shown on its Billing tab. Schools that need more can subscribe to a paid School plan, billed quarterly, half-yearly, or yearly, based on student capacity.
  • Payments are processed by Razorpay, a third-party payment processor; TypingBIRDS never receives or stores your card, UPI, or bank details directly — see the Privacy Policy for what Razorpay handles.
  • A paid plan grants a fixed-length subscription (e.g. one year on the Yearly plan). We don't currently offer refunds for a subscription period already in progress; contact us at the email below if something's gone wrong and we'll work it out.
  • If a subscription isn't renewed, the school's account reverts to the free plan's limits after a short grace period — nothing already created (classes, students, records) is deleted for non-renewal.

Service availability

TypingBIRDS is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. We work to keep it fast and available, but we can't promise uninterrupted service, and features may change or be removed as the site evolves. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the site.

Changes to these terms

If we make meaningful changes to these terms we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use TypingBIRDS after a change means you accept the updated terms.
