How Mistakes Are Counted
RRB starts like SSC (Full/Half mistakes) but adds two steps no other exam here has:
- 5% margin: 5% of your total words typed is subtracted from your mistake count before anything counts against you
- ×10 penalty: each remaining mistake costs 10 words off your speed, not 1
Speed = (Words typed − (Final mistakes × 10)) ÷ minutes. Typing under 300 words means your attempt isn’t evaluated at all, however accurate it was.
